Home, from anywhere.

Remote access lets the apps and shared links reach your server when you're away, with no port forwarding, dynamic DNS or certificates to manage.

  1. HomeOn your Wi-Fi, the apps talk to the server directly.
  2. DirectAway, your router opens a port automatically, so traffic goes straight home.
  3. RelayBehind strict networks, a Frameleaf relay carries the encrypted traffic.

The apps try each route at once and use the fastest, switching back to home the moment it answers.

A relay that can't see inside.

  • Your certificate is issued to your server, renewed automatically, and its private key never leaves it.
  • Encrypted end to end the relay routes by name and never decrypts the traffic.
  • Sign-in stays with you every remote visitor signs in, and your server decides what they can see.
  • Certificate watch Frameleaf checks public logs daily and emails you if an unexpected certificate appears for your server.
Command Center

An address to share.

  • Your Frameleaf address works anywhere, with a QR code to scan on a phone.
  • Your own domain like photos.example.com, with two DNS records and nothing else.
  • Shared links automatically use your public address, so they work for friends outside your network.
Server connection settings on iPhone

Sensible limits.

Direct connections never count against the relay allowance. These are the launch defaults and may change.

Relay speed

8 Mbps per server, enough for previews and streaming video.

Monthly allowance

200 GB through the relay. Past it you're slowed, never cut off.

Originals wait

Full originals and large files prefer a home or direct route, unless you allow them over the relay.

Regions

Launch relays are in North America.
