Frameleaf Manager 0.1.2 — install, import, update and recover your photo server

Release: 0.1.2 · Published: 17 October 2026

Release and downloads · Manager installation guide

Frameleaf Manager is the installation and recovery companion for your photo server. It handles the service and storage arrangement around the library, while the Server has its own release and version.

Release highlights

  • Guided setup for library storage, the database and the photo application.
  • A one-time Immich import that reviews media mappings and settings before cutover into a separate Frameleaf database.
  • Application update review with compatible images and a database recovery checkpoint.
  • Encrypted database backup and recovery, with exported recovery keys and protected configuration.
  • Recorded operations and Resume safely recovery after an interrupted import, update or restore.

The release provides the standalone Manager image and authenticated manifest, a Compose installation file, an Unraid template and matching checksums. NAS installers use the authenticated manifest and immutable image digest.

Keep the three releases clear

Component What it updates
Standalone Manager Installation, service and recovery management
Synology Manager SPK The native DSM package and its integration
Frameleaf Server Your photo library, web app, API and processing

Updating Manager is separate from selecting an application release. On Synology, use the native SPK update path instead of replacing the DSM installation with a standalone stack.

Install or update

Download the files from the 0.1.2 release together. Use the exact image digest and signature-verification instructions for the installation method you choose; keep configuration, Manager state and storage mappings across an update.

Before a library operation, export your recovery key and protected configuration and keep them privately away from the server. Manager database backups do not contain original photographs, videos or external libraries, so include those in a separate media backup.

For an interrupted operation, read its recorded error, correct the cause and use its recovery action. Keep previous database directories and Manager state. Once an update has changed the database or media, returning to an older container image alone is not a recovery plan.

Check the result

Open Manager, confirm the expected library and storage mappings, review the operation history and check that database backup/recovery points are visible. Then open the photo library and test sign-in, an original, a video and background work.

Reply with the platform, previous Manager version, operation performed and the result. Keep claim keys, recovery keys and private configuration out of screenshots.
