Delete your account
You can delete your Frameleaf account yourself, on the web or in the Frameleaf app. You don’t need the app installed to do it.
Frameleaf has two kinds of account, and deleting one doesn’t delete the other:
- Your Frameleaf account is the one you sign in to Frameleaf Cloud with. It holds your plan, licences, linked servers and Cloud services. Deleting it is covered first on this page.
- Your photo account lives on a Frameleaf server, and your photos and videos are stored there. The server’s administrator deletes it; see Delete a photo account on a server.
Delete your Frameleaf account on the web
Section titled “Delete your Frameleaf account on the web”- Go to frameleaf.cloud/privacy/delete and sign in.
- Read What happens when you delete your account.
- Under Confirm deleting, type
DELETE. - Select Delete my account in 30 days.
- If Frameleaf asks you to confirm it’s you, use your passkey or the sign-in code sent to your email.
We email you to confirm the request and the date your account will be erased.
Delete your Frameleaf account in the app
Section titled “Delete your Frameleaf account in the app”- Open Settings, then Frameleaf Cloud account. Sign in if the app asks you to.
- Select Delete Account.
- Read what’s erased and kept, then select Continue.
- Check the deletion date and select Yes, continue.
- Type
DELETE, then confirm it’s you with your passkey or a sign-in code.
The app signs out of Frameleaf Cloud straight away. Your photo account and the server connection stay signed in.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”Nothing is deleted for 30 days. Until then your account works as before, except that you can’t add funds to your AI Wallet and automatic top-up doesn’t run.
After the 30 days these are erased:
- your sign-in: email address, name, picture, passkeys and sessions
- your servers’ names, addresses and links to your account, and your sharing and invitations
- your billing profile, addresses and saved cards
- your licence records, consents and what you sent to Cloud processing
These are kept:
- payment and tax records, and the AI Wallet’s ledger, as the law requires
- a record that you asked for deletion
- a security log, which no longer identifies you after 400 days
The retention schedule lists each kept record and why.
Your money and your plan:
- Your plan ends on the deletion date, with no refund or credit for time you’ve already paid for.
- Store subscriptions aren’t cancelled when you delete your account. If you pay through Google Play or the App Store, cancel the subscription there.
- Your AI Wallet: the service-use balance ends. You can still ask for a refund of unused value you paid for: contact Frameleaf support. Promotional credit has no cash value.
Your photos:
- Your servers keep working, and the photos and videos on them aren’t touched.
- Cloud backups are kept read-only for 30 days after the deletion date, then deleted. Restore anything you need before then.
Once the 30 days have passed, the deletion can’t be undone.
Change your mind
Section titled “Change your mind”You can cancel during the 30 days:
- On the web: go to frameleaf.cloud/privacy/delete and select Cancel deletion.
- In the app: open Settings, then Frameleaf Cloud account, and choose Keep my account.
Your account stays exactly as it was, and automatic top-up carries on as you set it.
Close your account instead
Section titled “Close your account instead”Closing switches your account off without erasing it. Every server is unlinked, every device is signed out, your plan ends at the end of the billing period, and Cloud backups are kept read-only. Frameleaf support can reactivate a closed account.
Support handles closures: choose Request account closure on frameleaf.cloud/privacy/delete, or email [email protected].
Can’t sign in?
Section titled “Can’t sign in?”Email [email protected] from the address on your account and ask for it to be deleted. We may ask you to prove the account is yours before we act.
Delete a photo account on a server
Section titled “Delete a photo account on a server”Your photo account belongs to the server you use, so the server’s administrator deletes it. Ask them to delete it, and save any photos and videos you want to keep first.
If you’re the administrator, see Delete an account. Deleting starts a recovery period, 7 days by default, and then the account, its original photos and videos and its library entries are removed permanently.
Deleting a photo account doesn’t delete your Frameleaf account, and deleting your Frameleaf account doesn’t delete your photo account.
