Ask Frameleaf

Open Ask Frameleaf for quick, sourced help with setup, backups, privacy, features and GPU choices. Answers come from the same reviewed public documentation you can read on this website, with links back to each guide so you can read more.

Choose Set up Frameleaf for a checklist tailored to your platform. Frameleaf Manager is the recommended path for a new library or an import from Immich. The advanced manual Docker option walks you through storage, hardware and supported settings.

Your setup answers and generated credentials stay in this browser tab. They’re never sent to the answer service, and they’re gone when you leave, so download your checklist before you close the tab. The checklist guides your setup; your own host and backups are still yours to check.

Ask What can my GPU run? and give the exact model, available memory, platform and runtime. Recommendations are conservative estimates, and shared system memory counts differently from dedicated GPU memory. Try a sample in Frameleaf before you process your whole library. See Choose processing for your hardware.

Your question, a limited amount of the current conversation and relevant public help excerpts are sent to a hosted AI service. Ask can’t see your account, server, photo library or jobs, so keep passwords, recovery keys, private photos and account details out of your questions.

The conversation lives in this page’s memory. New conversation clears it from the page. Stop cancels the browser request, but a request that has already reached the service has been received.

Every answer links to its sources, so you can read the full guide before you change your installation. If Ask can’t answer confidently, it asks for more detail or points you to useful guides. Your running server always shows the settings and models it actually supports.

You can use site search without sending your query to the answer service. Every guide also has View Markdown and Copy as Markdown controls for use with your own tools. The Server API guide and its public OpenAPI download help you build integrations with your own library.
